The Chevron

This week it's coming up Zigzag's over at Pin Tangle. We are learning the chevron stitch. And what a fine stitch it is. Because I get over exited about things and don't read instructions correctly it took me a while to learn.

I'm not exactly pleased with the way the colours turned out... I might add some orange or red  tonight. We shall see. My stitches seem to be getting more even- so practice really does make perfect.

Looking back on my other TAST's I have noticed that I have an obsession with circles. I just like the roundness and wholeness of a circle. It's Pleasing to the eye. As if everything just flows together in a continues round.

I added some running stitch in the middle, because it's my favorite stitch and all.

Pop over here and have a look in the comments for more inspiration!

  3. I like circles, too! I think you're right: orange or red would really make those stitches pop.

  9. Beautiful! I love the vibrant colours, and the running stitch centre is the perfect complement to the angular chevron stitches.

  11. I love your design. The straight stitches in the middle I wouldn't have thought to add, but they make the design finished.
